Dr. Steve Q. Ngo DDS, of Image Dental OC responds to questions regarding Lumineers.

If I want to have my Lumineers removed, is that possible?

The special aspect about Lumineers is that the process can be reversed. Since there are no (grinding) adjustments made to your tooth structure, such as grinding, you will be able to reverse the process. Thus, your natural teeth will remain strong and unblemished.

If I get Lumineers, will I be able to chew gum and or consume foods that are sticky?

With Lumineers you are able to consume all types of foods or drinks without problems. Durability is the idea behind Lumineers and they are placed over the original teeth to ensure this. Visiting your dentist for exams is the best way to ensure great looking lumineers.
